In a week filled with huge news in the comic book world, the Pals share their thoughts on the first trailer for Netflix’s Punisher series, the return of the original Jean Grey to mainline continuity at Marvel (MUCH to Sean’s pleasure!), the announcement of HBO’s Watchmen, and just how big of a risk Doomsday Clock is to DC Comics. For most hardcore fans though, revisiting the Watchmen universe is seen as one of the few ‘third rail’ decisions a comic book company can make, up there with resurrecting Uncle Ben. Doomsday Clock does exactly that, but can DC Comics convince fans that there’s good reason use the Watchmen characters for this story? Does this monumental event put DC at risk of losing some of that goodwill?
